Quality Program Manager The Quality Program Manager is an integral part of the QSTR (Quality, Safety, Reliability and Transportation) Team.
This role is responsible for assisting with the execution of continuous improvement and managing quality/safety/reliability/transportation programs.
As a QSTR ambassador, this role will be charged with educating internal customers on QSTR-related processes and assisting with the successful implementation of QSTR initiatives.
Responsibilities:
Be a continuous improvement ambassador through external benchmarking, project/system management, and leading kaizen events Support processes (document control, management review), product projects, systems (corrective action, calibration)/system execution (QMS, EHS), and KPI usage Promote supplier quality by managing the NCP/RMA process and supporting regional supplier audits Assist with internal (ISO)/process audits and work with local management to address findings Train on processes/tools, qualify team members, create training materials, and record/report as required Work with management to ensure inspections/audits are executed Assist with emergency action planning and response through site plans/preparedness, regulatory records/reporting, and higher risk workplans Support maintenance management system procedures and implementations Review/update asset care plans and coordinate regional asset maintenance efforts to ensure plan timeline adherence Resolve maintenance rework issues, identify non-compliant vendors, and collaborate with local vendors to improve service scheduling priority Engage in site huddles and create regional QSTR performance and execution communications Maintain work area, equipment, and tools in a clean and organized manner; follow all Safety Guidelines Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Education A high school diploma or GED is required; college degree in industrial or manufacturing engineering or operations management, or experience working in a manufacturing setting and familiarity with safety, quality, industrial equipment preferred Continued education experience in profession preferred (i.
e.
, Lean/Six Sigma Green Belt) Experience & Skills At least 2 years in a manufacturing setting, preferably in an industrial environment Proven effective written and verbal communication skills Demonstrated analytical, conceptual, and planning skills Proven math and PC literacy skills Evidenced detail orientation and self-motivation in a role Must successfully complete a criminal background check, drug screen and E-verify Safety Demonstrate care and concern for all team members Understand and lead the execution of Mazzella safety programs and training for team members and stakeholders Make safety a daily point of emphasis and regularly communicate as much with your teams Report all injuries, incidents and near hits immediately and investigate to identify root cause and corrective actions Keep yourself and others safe by identifying hazards and implementing control measures to eliminate/reduce risk Contact Director of Safety upon being contacted by an official of a regulatory agency such as OSHA, EPA, etc.
Travel Travel for this position will be approximately 25%.
