CORE ACCOUNTABILITIES Academic Support Assist in the implementation of Individual Educational Plans (IEP) for the students and monitor their progress.
Work with individual students or a small group of students to reinforce learning of the material or skills initially introduced by the teacher.
Assist the teacher in devising strategies for reinforcing materials or skills based on an understanding of individual student, needs, interests and abilities.
Teacher Support Assist in preparation of instructional materials Grade completed assignments, complete attendance forms, assist with classroom projects.
Escort, supervise, and assist students to various settings.
Support and implement the classroom behavior management plan.
Behavior Support Establish and maintain a positive and effective rapport with all students.
Support students with emotional or behavior concerns and assist them in developing appropriate social skills.
Work in tandem with the teacher in utilizing a variety of behavior management tools.

S Curriculum and utilize the Five Step Problem Solving Model when addressing student behaviors, concerns and needs.
Additional Support Complete assigned bus duty by monitoring student behaviors and consistently implementing transportation policy and procedures.
Attend and participate in classroom team meetings.
Attend and participate in all staff meetings and in-services.
Assist in food service as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS Paraprofessional license is required, or you must be willing to obtain the license after hire.
Desire to assist students with special needs in a learning environment.
The ability to work and interact with all school personnel and students in a cooperative, collaborative and courteous manner.
Ability to work under stressful situations.
Able to build effective rapport with student population.
Must have effective organizational skills, time management, and flexibility in order to meet staff and students' needs.
Have a willingness to assume any responsibilities appropriate for the position.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
