Stearns Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, LLC is looking for a leader to be the Director of Dietary Services, to oversee the management of planning, directing and controlling all food service activities.
Candidate must have a desire to excel at customer service.
Candidate must provide compassionate leadership for residents and staff as a part of the senior management team.
The Director of Dining Services will provide direction to staff in the provision of excellent customer service through hands 'on leadership.

This list may not be all-inclusive and there may be other duties as assigned.
The Director will:
Oversee operating procedures for the department Be responsible for purchasing Be responsible for scheduling of kitchen and dining staff Be responsible for training of kitchen and dining staff Oversee food production and assembly Review and help with budgeting Supervise and train dietary staff Process new diet orders and diet changes; maintain computerized resident cardex.
Welcome newly admitted residents with information about food service operations and interview regarding food preferences and any alterations in nutritional status.
Complete the nutrition assessment within 72 hours of admission.
Collaborate with health care team in the development of the baseline care plan.
Complete initial, annual, and change of condition MDS section K (or as assigned).
Complete the MDS triggered CAAs.
Attend care plan meetings as the Food & Nutrition Services representative and contributes to dietary care plan Complete the quarterly MDS Section K (or as assigned).
Complete quarterly charting of the residents including MDS supporting documentation.
Attend care plan meetings as the Food & Nutrition Services representative.
Update care plans as needed.
Qualification Knowledge and experience in nursing homes Knowledge of federal and state regulations Knowledge and experience in developing resident care plans, MDS.
Good communications and writing skills Good organizational skills.
